This one of my favorite dish, a little time consuming but tastes excellent. In this recipe the twist is with the meatballs, after trying few attempts got a method to mix and get the flavor without compromising the taste of the spaghetti. This dish can be great for sunday brunch.
Ingredients:
1/2kg of Minced Meat [Mutton\Beef].
200 grams of Small Onions.
6 Green Chillies [can be reduced depending on your taste, I like it hot].
6 Medium sized Tomatoes.
Small bunch of Coriander leaves.
2 Tablespoons of Ginger Garlic paste.
1/2 Tablespoon of Pepper.
1/2 Tablespoon of Red chilli powder.
Salt to taste.
3 Tablespoons of Oil [Olive oil preferred]
Preparation Method:
Step 1: Grind the small onions, coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, green chilli, pepper, red chilli powder and salt.
Step 2: Make it a fine paste.
Step 3: Mix the paste with the meat and Knead like a dough and rest it for few minutes. Now make meat into small balls.
Step 4: Preparing the tomato sauce - this is simple. Wash and grind the tomato completely. In heavy pan pour the tomato juice with one tablespoon of oil and boil it.
Step 5: Now add little water and once it starts to boil add the meatballs then reduce the heat. Cook covered for about 40 - 45 minutes.
Step 6: Once the meat is cooked, take it off the sauce keep it separate.
Step 7: Cooking spaghetti - Boil one liter of water with oil and salt. Add the spaghetti and cook for 5 mins and shock it with cold water. After draining spray some oil and toss the spaghetti set it aside. Prepare this while the meatballs are cooking.
Step 8: Now add the spaghetti to the sauce and cook it for a minute or two.
Step 9: Plate the spaghetti along with the meatballs. If you like to have cheese, shred it over and enjoy.
The best dish you can have for brunch, not just tasting good this will fill your stomach too :-p. just make sure the meat is cooked fine so that it is soft and tender. Happy cooking!!!
